HILL COUNTRY AREA, TEXAS Our client, a leading Oil and Gas Company, is seeking an experienced Drilling Manager to join their management staff in their beautiful Texas Hill Country Offices. In this key management level role you will be responsible for managing a five drilling rig program with quarterly trips to the field. You will maintain and manage a dynamic drilling schedule and prepare daily drilling report. Troubleshoot daily drilling issues; supervise rig consultants and drilling superintendent to remedy any problems. Responsible for evaluating and implementing new drilling practices and technologies needed to improve rig performance and safety. Review and approve expenditures for rig activities and make recommendations to reduce costs and enhance overall efficiencies. You will prepare the economics, pre-spud drilling package and post job wellbore diagrams and present to senior management. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years in the Oil and Gas industry with drilling and/or completion experience. An in depth and strong understanding of drilling rigs and horizontal drilling best practices is required. Horizontal experience within the Mid Continent basins highly preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering required.
The selected candidate will be offered an excellent Total Compensation Package including an above market base salary, incentive plan eligibility, 401K Employer Match Plan, and a 4.5 day work week.
