Our client, a leading Oil and Gas Company, is seeking an experienced Land Manager for their Management Team. 

 

In this key management role you will be responsible for the following:

 

 

  • Negotiate, analyze, and draft land related contracts, including farmouts, participation agreements, exploration joint venture agreements and joint operating agreements.
  • Manage all land functions in support of multi-rig drilling program.
  • Oversee field landmen who are acquiring leases, rights-of-way and surface damage settlements and assist in negotiating leases, surface damage agreements and R-O-W agreements.
  • Coordinate all land related activity requiring state regulatory authority approval.
  • Coordinate communication between surface owners and field personnel in order to avoid, address and/or resolve issues related to ongoing drilling and daily production activities.
  • Assume responsibility for all pre-drill land activities, including well site acquisition, title curative matters, well proposals, poolings and support agreements.
  • Maintain an active presence in industry associations such as AAPL, IPAA, Etc.

 

Ideal Candidate will possess the following level of experience and skills:  

  

  • PLM, Energy Management or related Bachelors degree required.
  • Minimum of ten years of industry experience as in-house, company Landman.
  • Must be able to manage all land activities associated with ongoing drilling programs in multiple project areas.
  • Should possess working knowledge and understanding of the rules and regulations of the Texas RailRoad Commission and the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
  • Should be able to maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills for working closely with team members and with industry partners.
  • Will be self motivated, possess strong negotiating skills and capable of performing all job duties with minimal supervision.
  • Will be expected to identify and pursue value-add opportunities in existing prospect areas.
  • Candidate must be a team player with good communication skills.

DRILLING MANAGER

HILL COUNTRY AREA, TEXAS

Our client, a leading Oil and Gas Company, is seeking an experienced Drilling Manager to join their management staff in their beautiful Texas Hill Country Offices. 

In this key management level role you will be responsible for managing a five drilling rig program with quarterly trips to the field.  You will maintain and manage a dynamic drilling schedule and prepare daily drilling report. Troubleshoot daily drilling issues; supervise rig consultants and drilling superintendent to remedy any problems.  Responsible for evaluating and implementing new drilling practices and technologies needed to improve rig performance and safety.  Review and approve expenditures for rig activities and make recommendations to reduce costs and enhance overall efficiencies.  You will prepare the economics, pre-spud drilling package and post job wellbore diagrams and present to senior management.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years in the Oil and Gas industry with drilling and/or completion experience.  An in depth and strong understanding of drilling rigs and horizontal drilling best practices is required.  Horizontal experience within the Mid Continent basins highly preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering required.

Our client, a major financial firm is searching for an additional experienced Reservoir Engineer to support their financial functions relating to reserves lending. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a major solid global financial institution that has a long established presence in the Energy industry. In this key role, you will be responsible for performing technical analysis of upstream investment opportunities.  You will evaluate oil and gas reserves, systems, pipelines and markets in order to support lending and investment decisions. You will work on various projects where your experience in the operational side of Reservoir Engineering will have prepared you to quantify reserves, economic potential, identify reservoir, operational and commercial risk.  You must have a true passion for Reservoir Engineering coupled with extensive operational experience.   Must be able to write and present conclusions effectively with senior management of the bank, its customers, other bankers and outside representatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong Reservoir Engineering background which includes extensive experience in onshore basin operations, strong experience of reserves, economic evaluations and acquisitions.  Additionally, the ideal candidate have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, MBA preferred, at least 8-10 yrs of experience in U.S. petroleum reservoir engineering of which at least five should be in reserve evaluations.
 
You should have been with an upstream E&P company working as a reservoir engineer or M&A consultant or in a leading financial institution. Would prefer some financial background if possible, but work with reservoir engineering consultants or M&A firms will be considered. Must be well versed in Office Software programs, especially Excel, as well as Aries and PhD Win reserve programs.
