ER Management Opportunity – Large Hospital System

State-of-the-Art Hospital is looking for an Emergency Room Manager to manage their busy ER.

This ED is one of the busiest in the state of California, and the 2^nd busiest in the Health System with an average of 250 visits per day.  Position reports to the Director of Critical Care Services who reports up to the CNE.  There are 2 assistant dept. managers in place and 40 beds working in a pod system. 70k average visits per year. 45 bed ED with a high acuity patient populace.

Looking for someone to lead the ED Throughput Teams currently in place in a high volume, high acuity setting and to improvement in patient satisfaction scores.

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as an RN in the State of California
• Masters degree with 2 years clinical experience in the area of concentration or Baccalaureate Degree with 5 years current experience in area of concentration or Diploma or Associate Degree with 10 years current clinical experience in the area of concentration, National Certification in area of Specialty, if available.
• Demonstrated in depth knowledge of nursing process, performance improvement, budget and accounting, management of human resources, age specific competency, patient rights and organizational rights, environment of care including regulatory requirements.

• Clear direct communication style, charismatic and respectful of staff, physicians and patients, open to comment and new ideas, speak with a bold voice. Emergency Department needs constant feedback and direction.
• Mentor, Coach, Critical thinker, Creative with excellent follow through.  Respectful, creative, motivating change agent.

Competitive Salary range 120k-150k and low cost of living! Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available.
