| Job Information | SENIOR RESERVOIR ENGINEER FINANCIAL RESERVES TOTAL COMPENSATION UP TO $280K Our client, a major financial firm is searching for an additional experienced Reservoir Engineer to support their financial functions relating to reserves lending. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a major solid global financial institution that has a long established presence in the Energy industry. In this key role, you will be responsible for performing technical analysis of upstream investment opportunities. You will evaluate oil and gas reserves, systems, pipelines and markets in order to support lending and investment decisions. You will work on various projects where your experience in the operational side of Reservoir Engineering will have prepared you to quantify reserves, economic potential, identify reservoir, operational and commercial risk. You must have a true passion for Reservoir Engineering coupled with extensive operational experience. Must be able to write and present conclusions effectively with senior management of the bank, its customers, other bankers and outside representatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong Reservoir Engineering background which includes extensive experience in onshore basin operations, strong experience of reserves, economic evaluations and acquisitions. Additionally, the ideal candidate have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, MBA preferred, at least 8-10 yrs of experience in U.S. petroleum reservoir engineering of which at least five should be in reserve evaluations.
You should have been with an upstream E&P company working as a reservoir engineer or M&A consultant or in a leading financial institution. Would prefer some financial background if possible, but work with reservoir engineering consultants or M&A firms will be considered. Must be well versed in Office Software programs, especially Excel, as well as Aries and PhD Win reserve programs.
